Will the pearl destroy the family?

     Juana believes the pearl will destroy her and Kino because Kino is getting really paranoid. It's all he cares about is the pearl. She doesn't want that. She wants it to be how it was without the pearl. She hates that pearl and that doctor. Throughout the chapter it mentions the pearl many times.  It will destroy them by tearing their family apart. Kino is focused on this pearl and that's it. He has a vision in his head about wonderful things for his son but that is the only thing he thinks about. It may also destroy them by Kino and Juana's relationship. He will get so attached to the pearl he will act like Juana doesn't even exist. Then, Juana won't be happy. It may also destroy them if the pearl gets stolen. They are both hoping for the pearl to lead their life with money. But if it gets stolen it would be a complete tragedy because they were hoping for so much and then it will all be gone. Although, what if the pearl doesn't get stolen? Then they will have everything they dreamed of.  There are lots of questions to chapter 3, but what will happen next? We'll find out as we continue to read The Pearl.
